The rising cost of living is having a direct impact on the health of our pets.​

 

Since 2024, 40% of Canadian pet parents reduced their pet food and accessories spending to ease their financial strain, and almost 25%, stopped buying treats to save money.

 

Rising costs impact senior pet parents (65+), and those living with disabilities even more. Often, seniors put their pet's needs ahead of their own, despite living with age-related income, mobility, and access barriers.

 

A recent poll showed that over 25% of seniors living with health issues put their pet's needs ahead of their own*.​​​​

 

That's why we launched RUFF'D UPs: to help senior pet parents, and those living with disabilities, keep their dogs healthy and happy at home without sacrificing pet health or personal finances.

 

We now offer safe dog walking services at a reasonable price, and based on request, may have good quality new and upcycled dog accessories for senior pet parents (living in and around Vaughan, Ontario).
